As an Association of Research Libraries Career Enhancement Program participant, I completed my fellowship at the University of Michigan in the Summer of 2013. There, I was shared between the Fine Arts Library and Art, Architecture and Engineering Library. Below, are the two projects I completed during my fellowship.
The Leonard B. Willeke Postcards Exhibit was a Omeka exhibit I created while at the Art, Architecture and Engineering Library. I managed the exhibit of architect Leonard B. Willeke’s postcard collection from start to finish. This includes digitizing and cataloging postcards, mapping metadata from VRA to Dublin Core, uploading images and records into Omeka, and designing the banner.
For the Fine Arts Library, I completed a collection development survey of the Caribbean art area. This included assessing the collection and selecting and ordering titles them. I also curated a exhibit in the cases of the Fine Arts library and created a LibGuide on Caribbean Art and Visual Culture.
