As apart of the Association of Research Libraries Career Enhancement Program in 2013, I was a fellow in the Art, Architecture, and Engineering Library at the University of Michigan. There, I created, curated, and managed a Omeka exhibit on architect Leonard B. Willeke’s postcard collection. I selected items to be digitized, mapped metadata from VRA to Dublin Core, and uploaded images and the records into Omeka.
The Dancers on Dance: Oral Histories of Ballet is a digital archive of interviews between ballet dancers and writer Barbara Newman. Built by students in 2012 at Pratt Institute’s School of Information and Library Science, this Omeka website was created in the course Projects in Digital Archives.
I was part of the design group and we were responsible for the aesthetic design elements of the website including producing code for the technology group to add to the CSS. This also included digitizing audio cassette tapes and Dublin Core metadata creation.
